Wheeling, WV – The Wheeling Nailers, the proud
AA affiliate of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh
Penguins, have announced they have acquired defenseman
Kyle Bushee from the Johnstown Chiefs in exchange
for future considerations.
Bushee is in his 3rd season of professional hockey
and will add even more valuable experience to the
blue-line along with Cleve Kinley who was acquired
from Florida last week. Bushee will wear #20 for
the Nailers.
The 6’1” Ostego, Michigan product played
at Canisius College before debuting with the Cincinnati
Cyclones in 2007-08 appearing in 14 games. Last
year was Bushee’s first full season of professional
hockey as he scored 4 goals and 19 assists for the
Johnstown Chiefs in 67 games. This year with Johnstown
he had played in 9 games tallying one assist.
Bushee gets a chance to make his Nailers debut
this weekend when Wheeling travels to Elmira to
take on the Jackals Friday and Saturday nights.
He can make his Nailers home debut on Wednesday,
November 25th against the Florida Everblades.

George Kellas Bobbleheads and Pink in the Rink and
Toys for Tots and Teddy Bear Toss. The great sportscaster
George Kellas to be honored at the game and the
first 2500 fans to receive Kellas bobbleheads. Nailers
to wear pink jerseys in support of breast cancer
awareness. Pink jerseys to be auctioned on the ice
with the players after the game (note – this
is a LIVE auction after the game…not an online
auction). Bring new toys to donate to area needy
kids for the holidays. Teddy Bear toss to benefit
local charities. Fans get to throw the Teddy Bears
after the Nailers score the first goal.
