WV – The Wheeling Nailers, the proud AA affiliate
of the Stanley Cup Champion Pittsburgh Penguins, announced
today that they have aquired the rights to defensemen
Cleve Kinley from the Florida Everblades for future
considerations.
Kinley played 8 games for Florida scoring 1 goal
and 2 assists. The native of Surrey, BC is in his
3rd full season of professional hockey. He played
mostly with the Stockton Thunder of the ECHL last
year scoring 4 goals and 24 assists in 48 games
but he also had a 7 game call-up to Springfield,
Mass. of the AHL.
In 2007-08 Kinley mostly played with the Texas
Wildcatters of the ECHL where he had 6 goals and
28 helpers and also played 10 games in the AHL with
Grand Rapids. The 26 year old Kinley is a product
of UMass-Lowell.
The Nailers return to the ice this weekend for
back to back games against Johnstown. Friday the
Nailers are at Johnstown. They return home Saturday
at 7:35 to complete the 3 game series against their
